Glow Your Own is a six week project from IF Oxford, the Oxford science and ideas with Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival.
The step-by-step workshops will teach you how to use a simple LED coding kit to create a personalised digital lantern for use in the Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival.
Register for the sessions and join friendly instructors, who will show you how to make a circuit with multi-coloured lights and control them using computer code.
Create a wearable design, a paper lantern or illuminate your bike or home to bring together art and engineering.
All workshops can be seen at www.if-oxford.com and right here. You won't need an LED kit for the first session as it introduces you to the tools to use. All you'll need at the start is a computer and an internet connection to take your first steps to being a digital LED artist.
To take part in the workshop series you will need a laptop and an Arduino starter kit. You an purchase the recommended kit on Amazon (you will need both):
