Choirs and Singing Groups
Over the weekend of the 3 days of Oxford's Christmas Light Festival, the city comes alive with light installations, performances and surprises around every corner.
Choirs and singing groups form an integral part of the Festival programming, bringing wonderful music and delight to the public, whether local people out and about or tourists who have come to discover what our wonderful city is all about.
At specially chosen performance areas the choirs perform alongside other spectacular and fascinating attractions; bringing music to our Christmas Market on Broad Street, the community performance area at Bonn Square, as well as Gloucester Green and other spaces near the festival’s cultural partners.
Each performance slot is half an hour long and can take place on any of the three days over the festival. Choirs can choose do as many days or slots as they are available for. Some of the performance areas have power for a keyboard or a small sound system (to be supplied by the choir themselves). All are open air, so wrap up warmly.
We’d love to have as many of you join us as possible. We are open to choirs and singing groups with Christmas songs in their repertoire but also to groups who just enjoy a great harmony and sharing their joy with the public.
