Windows of Kindness

Cowley Road Carnival organisers Cowley Road Works are getting into the Light Festival spirit with ‘Windows of Kindness’. Windows of Kindness is led by the Roarsomes, a collective of young disabled artists who want to spread a message of kindness and hope in a year which has been very tough for the community.
Their large scale window art piece will be launched on Friday 20th November for the Christmas Light Festival, at The Venue in Cowley, East Oxford.
In the meantime, the Roarsomes want the families, youth groups and schools of East Oxford and beyond to join us in making and displaying lit-up windows with a message of kindness behind them.
Using just tissue paper, black card and some scissors and glue the most amazing creations can be made. What will your window show?
Here is artist Emily Cooling sharing her tips on how to make your own stained glass effect Window of Kindness.
If you would like a window making pack please contact admin@cowleyroadworks.org and we will get you all the creative bits and pieces you need to get making!
These activities require adult supervision.
