Doorstep Celebration

Switch on your Christmas lights at 5.30pm Saturday!!

In these times we all need to keep safe in our household bubbles but that doesn't mean we can't experience that sense of togetherness by doing the same things at the same time.

Lots of streets have already been making some illuminated creations to display in their windows, on their doorsteps or balconies and some have been organising a little doorstep celebration starting at 5.30pm on Saturday 21st November. But it doesn’t matter if you haven’t been involved so far, you can still share in the festive spirit by getting your Christmas lights up in time to switch them on Saturday at 5.30pm!

Wrap up warm, come out onto your doorstep at 5.30pm with your favourite soup or hot chocolate and switch those lights on.

And it doesn’t have to end there - why not take a picture of your house or street and enter our photo competition, there are great prizes to be won!

Please do make sure you understand your own responsibility for keeping yourselves and others safe. We won't be delivering anything that encourages groups to gather and mingle but equally on walks and doorstep celebrations, please adhere to the up to date government guidelines.  Thank you #bethelight
